Built by the San Antonio and the Aransas Pass Railroad in the 1880’s, this depot was originally located in Muldoon, Texas. Built with square nails, it has the traditional three part depot construction – ticket office with waiting room; business office with bay windows; and back cargo area. Exterior wall are board and batten construction with wide eaves and decorative supports. Interior walls are beaded wood with pine flooring.
When the Muldoon station was closed, the station was moved to the Kelly Ranch nearby and used for hay storage. It was purchased by the Antlers Hotel in 1999 and moved to this location. Renovated by Anthony Mayfield and crew, it has reemerged along side the tracks in Kingsland as the Antlers Station.
